Yin Yoga takes more of a feminine approach by stretching the body when the muscles are cool and holding the poses for 3-5 minutes in order to target the deep connective tissues, ligaments and joints.  This is a wonderful balance to the usual “Yang” style of Yoga that targets the muscles.  Yin Yoga invites a greater range of motion, calmer heart and mind, and will stimulate the healing flow of energy in the body.
